Access-Rx Pharmacy Participation Agreement

Welcome to Access-Rx.

Access-Rx helps licensed pharmacies securely receive prescriptions, verify prescription authenticity, dispense medications, and document dispensing activities as part of connected patient care.

By creating or using an Access-Rx account, you agree to practice professionally, protect patient privacy, comply with applicable pharmacy laws, and use the platform responsibly.

This Agreement should be read together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Data Stewardship & Health Record Policy, Clinical Order Access Policy and Prescription Access & Dispensing Policy.

1. Eligibility

By registering with Access-Rx, you confirm that:

• Your pharmacy holds all required licences and regulatory approvals.

• Pharmacists and authorized staff using the platform are appropriately qualified.

• Information provided during registration is accurate and kept up to date.

• You will promptly notify MCC of any change affecting your eligibility.

MCC may verify licences and suspend or revoke access where eligibility cannot be confirmed.

2. Professional Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Dispense medications in accordance with applicable laws and professional standards.

• Verify prescriptions before dispensing.

• Exercise independent professional judgment.

• Maintain accurate dispensing records.

• Protect patient confidentiality.

• Report suspected prescription fraud, misuse, or platform abuse where appropriate.

The pharmacy remains solely responsible for all dispensing decisions made under its account.

3. Prescription Access

Access to prescriptions is granted only for legitimate dispensing purposes.

You agree to:

• Access prescriptions only after successful patient verification through MCC's authorized workflow.

• Access only information necessary to dispense medication safely.

• Never access patient records out of curiosity or for unauthorized purposes.

• Respect any platform restrictions relating to unpaid consultation fees or legal access requirements.

All access activity may be logged and audited.

4. Dispensing Records

Pharmacies may use Access-Rx to document:

• Medication dispensed

• Quantity supplied

• Partial dispensing

• Dispensing date and time

• Pharmacist responsible

• Relevant dispensing notes where permitted

Dispensing records become part of the patient's healthcare record.

5. Account Security

You agree to:

• Protect all user credentials.

• Restrict access to authorized pharmacy personnel.

• Promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

• Never share accounts between users.

Actions performed under your account are presumed to be authorized unless promptly reported otherwise.

6. Privacy and Confidentiality

Patient information accessed through Access-Rx must be used only for authorized healthcare purposes.

You must comply with all applicable privacy laws and MCC's:

• Privacy Policy

• Data Stewardship & Health Record Policy

• Security Policy

Unauthorized disclosure or misuse of patient information may result in suspension, termination, or legal action.

7. Payments

Where applicable, pharmacy transactions, settlement arrangements, and platform fees will be managed in accordance with MCC's published pricing and Pharmacy Payment Policy.

8. Compliance and Audits

MCC may review platform activity to:

• Protect patient safety;

• Detect fraud or unauthorized access;

• Verify compliance with this Agreement;

• Meet legal and regulatory obligations.

Such reviews do not replace regulatory oversight of the pharmacy.

9. Suspension or Termination

MCC may suspend or terminate participation where:

• Pharmacy licences are suspended, revoked, or expire;

• False information is provided;

• This Agreement or applicable laws are violated;

• Patient safety, privacy, or platform security is compromised.

Termination does not affect legal obligations relating to existing dispensing records.

10. Relationship with MCC

You acknowledge that:

• Access-Rx is a technology platform.

• MCC is not a pharmacy, drug distributor, or regulatory authority.

• Participation does not create an employment, partnership, agency, or franchise relationship with MCC.

11. Changes to this Agreement

MCC may update this Agreement to reflect changes in law, professional standards, or platform services. Material changes will be communicated before taking effect where required by law.
